Making curators look dramatic

The California Academy of Sciences hired Alex Farnum to photograph all 24 head department curators and collections managers for a new booklet they are producing. The challenge was producing 20+ images that were unique and represented what each curator researched. Above are a few of the results. (Alex's site is full of gorgeous photos, but many feature nudity.)
